Configure Trunk Access Codes (TAC) in Avaya CM



In Avaya Aura, Trunk Access Codes (TAC) are used to access specific trunk groups for making outbound calls. It’s important to manage TAC codes carefully to prevent unauthorized use and potential toll fraud. Implementing authorization codes and disabling trunk-to-trunk transfers can help enhance security.

To Enable CDR for Trunk Access Codes (TACs)

  1. Access the Avaya Communication Manager (CM) administration interface..
  2. Navigate to the trunk group settings.
  3. Locate the "CDR Reports" field on the trunk group configuration page.
  4. Set the field to "yes" to enable CDR for the Trunk Access Code (TAC).

Configure Call Reporting Software for TAC Reporting

  1. Open the Call Reporting Software (XT) administration interface.
  2. Navigate to the CDR configuration section.
  3. Ensure that the TAC field is properly mapped in the CDR layout.
  4. Configure any necessary filters or reporting parameters for TAC-related data.

Verify TAC Reporting

  1. Place test calls using the configured TACs.
  2. Generate reports in XT2 focusing on TAC-related data.
  3. Confirm that the TAC information is accurately captured and displayed in the reports.
